Is he being considered to head the IMF? – Adongo trolled over appointment snub

Some social media users believed to be affiliated with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) are trolling Bolgatanga Central MP Isaac Adongo following his exclusion from President John Dramani Mahama’s recent ministerial nominations.

Prominent among the trolls is Frank Mandela Bawumia, an outspoken NPP supporter, who sarcastically remarked, “How come this ECONOMIST was not named as the finance minister and was not even considered as a member of the economic ‘problem identification’ committee? Or he’s being considered to head IMF?”

Once touted as a strong contender for the role of Minister of Finance due to his sharp critique of government policies and a deep understanding of economic issues, Adongo’s omission has surprised both supporters and critics.

Adongo’s reputation as a vocal advocate for financial reforms within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) made him a household name, particularly during debates on Ghana’s economic challenges.

However, his absence from the President’s key appointments has fueled speculation about whether he has been sidelined or if there are other plans for his expertise.
