I can’t engage in silly acts – Kofi Akpaloo replies critics on alleged ballot swapping

Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana, Kofi Akpaloo has descended heavily on persons accusing him of engaging in alleged ballot swapping stating that he cannot engage in what he described as silly acts.

He took on US-based Vlogger Kevin Taylor for leading the charge and spreading lies about him over the alleged ballot swap.

It would be recalled that there were rumors that Kofi Akpaloo swapped his selected ballot, number 5, during the ballot draw conducted by the Electoral Commission with the NPP representative after a video emerged online.

According to him, he initially selected the number 8 but expressed his discontent, as it reminded him of his prior ballot number 9 in the last elections, which didn’t generate great outcomes.

So he later switched the ballot and got number 5.

Reacting to the rumor spread online by Kevin Taylor, he stated that he could not disgrace his family by indulging in such a silly act.

“Kevin Taylor’s accusations against me has caused a lot for me. Some people who wanted to vote for me called to question me. They wanted to know why I swapped my ballot number with NPP. I can’t do such a silly act. I am a businessman and a family man. Why will I do such a thing.” He asked.

“My family is not small. When you get to the Volta Region, this name Akpaloo is a respected name. Why will I bear such a respectable name and misbehaviour? Kevin Taylor is mentally unstable for framing such a lie on me”, he said during an interview on Kingdom FM

According to him, he had no interest in switching positions with the NPP in order to refute the accusations of ballot-swapping.
