I want to run Ghana as a business – Kofi Akpaloo

Percival Kofi Akpaloo, the Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana(LPG), has disclosed that he will run Ghana as a business because he is a businessman.

During an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, Mr Kofi Akpaloo explained he will run the economy by increasing taxes and use these taxes to empower the youth to learn vocational skills so the country may benefit from them.

“I want Ghana as a business. I have to empower the people to make money so I can tax them and make more money from them and run the economy. How can you tax people when they are poor? If the people are JHS levers, how can I tax them? Unless such persons go and apply as security personnel. These people earn about GHc600 to Ghc700. Some also don’t get their salaries consistently”. He disclosed

According to him, when he becomes the President, he will empower people to go and learn trade so they can be useful to themselves and the country.

He added that “when the government trains people, they will be able to pay their taxes to the government.

In running the country as a businessman, Kofi Akpaloo said, “If you have an idea that can attract foreigners and promote the increase the revenue of the country, you can discuss it with me as the President to invest in the idea to become a reality”.

“The government can give you a loan to implement your plan and pay the loan later. As you become rich, the economy will also improve and revenue will increase.” He stated.
