I believe my father was a Prophet – Samia Nkrumah

Samia Nkrumah, Former Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) has described her late father, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah as a prophet to the country of Ghana.

During a one-on-one interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat, Samia Nkrumah spoke about the legacy of her father who became the first President of the Republic.

According to her, his father was a philosopher who put into writing all he believed in which will be of great help to the younger generation.

Samia Nkrumah further stated that her father, Dr Kwame Nkrumah saw the future hence provided some guidelines and solutions to problems we might face in future.

“He saw well into the future. He organized, he wrote, he was a philosopher and of course, he led the country. He laid the foundation of what Ghana is today. He wrote about what he believed in which is very important for the younger generation. He also gave us guidelines as a country and ultimate solutions for Africans to unite”, she disclosed.

When asked about the debate over whether Kwame Nkrumah is the sole founder of Ghana, Samia Nkrumah responded, “I believe without a shred of doubt that Kwame Nkrumah is the founder of Ghana. But having said that, I’ve always said that it doesn’t matter if others disagree.”
