Why I rejected Cheddar’s running mate offer – Samia Nkrumah

The former Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Samia Nkrumah has disclosed that she rejected Nana Kwame Bediako alias Cheddar’s offer to become his running mate to his Third Force because she has invested a lot in the Jomoro constituency of the Western Region.

There were rumors that the founder and leader of the Freedom Party otherwise known as the Third Force bankrolled by the businessman wanted Samia Nkrumah to be his running mate.

Confirming the rumors in an interview with Bola Ray on Star Chat, Samia Nkrumah stated that Cheddar reached out to her and her team and made the offer to her but she rejected it.

According to her, she has invested a lot in the Jomoro constituency and also believes the Nkrumah’s tradition must be represented in parliament in our decision-making.

“Cheddar reached out to me to be his running mate but I told him I’ve invested too much in Jomoro and I believe the Nkrumah’s tradition must be represented in parliament in terms of decision making”. She disclosed.

According to her, she believes that a lot of Ghanaians have what it takes to do politics. She added that one has to have the mindset and know what needs to be done. She added that being in politics requires a strategic aim.
