I am an omnist, says Okyeame Kwame

Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame, in a recent interview said he identifies as an omnist.

Speaking in an interview, though born in a Christian home, he believes all religions hold some truth, “I was born as a Christian in the Methodist Church, but now I am an omnist.”

According to Okyeame, his transformation began after learning about Africa’s colonial history. A letter from Leopold II of Belgium revealed religion was used to control Africans.

Okyeame Kwame’s beliefs now focus on questioning and learning from all religions.

He believes spirituality should include everyone, not just one group or tradition, making it more inclusive.
