The Goaso Traditional Council in the Ahafo Region has officially confirmed the passing of the Omanhene, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah II.
In a somber gathering at the Omanhene’s palace in Goaso, members of the Nananom of the traditional council, clad in black and red attire, mourned as the tragic news was delivered by the Sumankwaahene, Nana Nketia.
Nana Nketia shared, “Nana Bosomprah II had been unwell for some time, and despite the council’s continuous efforts to support his recovery, he unfortunately passed away.”
Nana Bosomprah, 58, a former Ghana Cocoa Board employee, passed away on 3 December 2024, at the Sunyani Regional Hospital, following a brief illness.
The traditional council confirmed that the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has been informed of the Omanhene’s death.
As per tradition, the Omanhene of Goaso holds the prestigious role of chief palm wine tapper for the Asantehene.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course by the Goaso Traditional Council, in accordance with the directives of the Asantehene.
