Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has disclosed that the video of some National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth threatening violence on December 7, 2024, exposes the violent plot of the NDC.
His comments come on the back of some youth in Obuasi threatening violence in the December 7 election.
He says if the NDC has no role in the threats being issued by the Obuasi NDC Youth, then they need to assist the police in fishing out the youth who issued the threats.
In a tweet expressing his opinion he said “Obuasi NDC Youth exposes the party’s violent plot across the country. H.E John Dramami Mahama and the NDC must assist the Ghana Police Service in arresting their party’s troublemakers who have threatened our democracy by intimidating the EC and arrogating its powers unto themselves to declare the NDC victorious on 7 December.
JM & the NDC would be the beneficiaries of the promised violence; therefore, they must take responsibility to facilitate their arrest and punishment to deter copycats.
Failure to publicly repudiate and actively canvass their arrest will amount to an endorsement of electoral violence. We must work together for a peaceful 2024 general elections by dealing proactively with these odd elements and others who may wish to emulate their poor example… Bawumia is peaceful. Cast your vote for Bawumia #1… It’s possible”.
