Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has urged Black Stars coach, Otto Addo to consider players in the Ghana Premier League. Agyemang-Badu's call comes after the senior national team failed to win any of their first two games of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Ghana, who are chasing their fifth AFCON title were shocked after losing 1-0 against Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium last week Thursday.

Reflecting on the performance of the team, Agyemang-Badu, who is a U-20 World Cup winner criticized the team and urged Otto Addo to consider local players.
"There is no cohesion, no aggressiveness and slow passing," he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.
"It looks like there is nothing at stake we should play, whatever happens, happens.
"Normally it is difficult for me to talk about players because of the background I am from but in fact, there is a lot to do if this is how it is going to be.
"We will plead with the coach [Otto Addo] to consider local players and even if they go and lose I think Ghanaians will accept it," he added.
Ghana will resume their qualifying games against Kwesi Appiah's Sudan in October. The first leg is scheduled on October 7 at the Baba Yara Stadium with the return leg scheduled on October 15 at the Al-Merrikh Stadium.
