Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has assured the chiefs of collaboration if he is made president.
He says collaborating with Chiefs will help deal with the ills of society.
The NPP Flagbearer made this known when he met Chiefs and Elders of Asuogyaman, Lower Manya and Yilo Krobo constituencies.
He said “Our cultural norms and beliefs have largely stood the test of time, and a Bawumia Presidency will work to preserve the good while helping to reform the others.
During engagements with the chiefs and people in the Asuogyaman, Lower Manya and Yilo Krobo constituencies yesterday, I assured of my future government’s greater collaboration with traditional authorities to work against the ills of society, including the menace of deviant sexual behaviour.
