Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s likability continues to shine as he gains significant attention from local chiefs ahead of the December elections, a testament to his growing influence and acceptance within various communities.

During his recent campaign trail in the Oti Region, Bawumia received a warm endorsement from Dr. Ubor Tossan Konja VI, the paramount chief of Kpassa, who articulated his strong belief in the Vice President’s capabilities.

Chief Konja emphasized that Bawumia’s track record as Vice President has rendered extensive campaigning unnecessary. “The work that Dr. Bawumia has done in his eight years in office speaks for itself,” the chief remarked confidently.

“He doesn’t need to convince us any further; his achievements are evident. This tour seems more about engaging with the younger generation and showing them that he is their future president.”

The chief highlighted several key milestones that have benefited Kpassa under the NPP, noting that the elevation of the town to district status during John Agyekum Kufuor’s administration was a significant turning point.

“The NPP has truly transformed Kpassa. From being connected to the national grid, which granted us electricity, to establishing a district assembly complex, we owe much of our development to their governance,” he asserted.

Furthermore, Chief Konja pointed out the community’s impending district hospital, a project under the NPP’s Agenda 111 initiative that is nearing completion.

“This hospital is a vital addition to our healthcare services, and we are grateful for the commitment shown by the NPP,” he added, reinforcing his belief that the party is genuinely invested in the welfare of the Kpassa community.
