Chief Konja Praises NPP’s Achievements as Bawumia Campaigns in Oti Region

Dr. Ubor Tossan Konja VI, the paramount chief of Kpassa, has publicly declared that the only political party with a genuine commitment to the town is the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). This emphatic statement came during Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign trail in the Oti Region, where he aimed to connect with voters ahead of the upcoming elections.

Chief Konja elaborated on the significant developments that Kpassa has experienced under the NPP’s governance, recalling, “It was during the era of the NPP, starting with John Agyekum Kufuor, that Kpassa was elevated to district status.”

He underscored the pivotal role the NPP played in transforming the community, stating, “We were placed on the national grid, granting us access to electricity for the first time. This has fundamentally changed the lives of our people.”

The chief also highlighted the establishment of a district assembly complex as a direct benefit of NPP policies.

Additionally, he pointed to the ongoing construction of a district hospital under the NPP’s Agenda 111 initiative, which is nearing completion.

“This hospital is a testament to the government’s dedication to improving our health services,” he asserted, emphasizing the community’s gratitude for these advancements.
