A fatal accident on the Winneba – Accra highway has reportedly claimed the lives of Three(3) people on the spot while about Eight(8) others have sustained various degrees of injuries.
According to a report sighted by MyNewsGh.com, the accident occurred at Gomoa Mprumem on the Winneba road involving a Toyota Hiace minibus with registration CR 805-24.
Sources claim that when the bus with registration number CR 805-24, was speeding, one of its tyres burst, and the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
He tried to apply the brakes but the car went off the road and somersaulted multiple times until it caught fire.
Images from the scene of the collision display passenger items strewn over the road alongside the dead bodies of two men and a woman.
The injured persons were reportedly rushed to Trauma and Specialist Hospital and Winneba Municipal Hospital, while the three deceased were taken to the St. Luke Catholic Hospital mortuary.
