Deputy Director General of National Sports Authority (NSA), Abdul Majeed Bawa, has assured that the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will be ready to host Ghana’s v Angola game in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.The senior national team will host the Palancas Negras on September 5 in their Group F opener.However, the stadium which on the only edifice sanctioned to host CAF and FIFA games is currently in a poor state following a recent five-day crusade held at the venue.Majeed Bawa speaking in an interview assured various stakeholders that the facility will be ready to host the game."I can assure you that the pitch is ready, and the pitch will be ready to host the Black Star game against Angola," he told Citi Sports."Before we handed over the facility for that particular program in Tarkwa, the Minister requested our recovery plan, which we give them."The minister was satisfied with the fact that we have a robust plan in waiting to recover the pitch because we knew that after the program, there will be some amount of damage to the pitch."And then we made preparations, we made provisions, waiting for the completion...

Ghana will travel to play Niger four days later after the opener.
Meanwhile, Otto Addo, who is the head coach of the team has submitted his squad for the games to the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
