Chief Scribe of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Fiifi Kwetey has expressed dissatisfaction with the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) failure to acknowledge the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its role in the construction of Terminal 3 during the launch of the E-gates.
Mr Kwetey criticized the governing party for not inviting the NDC to the commissioning of the project, even though it was the NDC that originally built Terminal 3.
He lamented that during the unveiling of the E-Gates, the NPP gave the impression that they were responsible for the entire project.
“Admit that this project was carried out by your predecessor,” Mr Kwetey said, expressing his frustration. “When you were commissioning it, you didn’t even bother to invite those who actually built Terminal 3.”
He went on to highlight his personal exclusion from the event. “Even I, as the former Minister for Transport, wasn’t invited.
And yet, you bring a whole convoy to commission this mediocre project, the E-Gates, without the humility to acknowledge those who constructed Terminal 3,” he added.
The NDC General Secretary also addressed the Tema to Npakadan railway project, emphasizing that it was a 100% NDC initiative, financed during the NDC’s time in office.
He accused the NPP of taking full credit for the railway’s completion, without recognizing the long process that led to its final stage.
