Will nightclubs be called ‘dayclubs’ under the 24-hour Economy? – Fmr NDC Leader asks Mahama

Former National Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan has questioned John Dramani Mahama’s claims of running night clubs in Ghana under the 24-hour economy.

He says there is a reason why they are called night clubs so running them under the 24-hour economy will give them a new identity and role.

“Will they be called Day clubs? There is a reason why they are called night clubs. Who should go and be there and dance for 24 hours? Who will say nightclubs should run for 24-hours,” he questioned while speaking in an interview on Accra-based OKAY FM.

John Dramani Mahama, during the launch of the NDC campaign, was heard saying “Hospitality industry, our restaurants, our nightclubs, hotels, discotheques 24/7, 24-hours a day, three shifts every day.”.

The former Deputy General Secretary for the NDC, Koku Anyidoho has also expressed shock as to why the former President will make such a claim.

“I have spoken to NDC national executives who say they are very embarrassed by this JM policy because it was not part of their input. JM is talking for himself and NOT for NDC,” he said in a tweet.
