We’ve filled a gap in our team with the signing of Derrick Kohn – Werder Bremen Head of Football
Werder Bremen’s head of professional football, Peter Niemeyer, has revealed that the team has filled a gap in their left side of defence with the signing of Ghanaian defender Derrick Arthur Kohn.The 25-year-old left-back has joined the German Bundesliga side from Turkish Super Liga club Galatasaray on a season-long loan.There is an option for Werder Bremen to sign the Turkish champion on a permanent deal.Speaking after the club announce the deal, Peter Niemeyer said, “We’ve filled the gap we had on the wing with Derrick, which we’re pleased about.“Derrick has gathered international experience at clubs in the Netherlands and Turkey, which he can put to use at Werder. He made a splash in the 2. Liga with some impressive displays for Hannover 96, too.“We’re glad we’ve managed to sign Derrick,” stated SVW’s head of professional football, Peter Niemeyer.Last season, Derrick Kohn made 13 appearances in the Turkish Super League.He scored one goal and provided two assists since joining in February from Hannover.Kohn has not yet been capped by Germany and is eligible to play for Ghana at senior level.
