Ursula Owusu breaks her silence after defeat in 2024 elections

Communications Minister and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu Ekuful has broken her silence after her defeat in the 2024 elections.

The Communications Minister was defeated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Rev. Kweku Addo.

The clergyman won the parliamentary election with 31,866 votes while Mrs Owusu-Ekuful trailed with 26,575.

In a post shared via social media, she disclosed that she is starting a new chapter in her life and is hopeful of what the good Lord has in store for her life.

Ursula Owusu is confident going into the future.

Her post read “Thank you Ablekuma West!! Sayonara….Thank you Lord for the opportunity to serve. Next chapter in my life unfolding so let’s see what He has in store for me. Looking into the future with confidence”.

MyNewsGh.com has learned that the communications minister, after handing over, may retire from active politics to take care of her private businesses and practice law.

She is expected to mentor the new generation of leaders in the country and provide support for society through her foundation.
