Ghanaian musician, Skrewfaze known in real life as Jehoshaphat Eshun has bemoaned the polluted nature of the country’s water bodies due to the galamsey menace.
“Check our water bodies and it’s messed up and so I keep asking myself is this the Ghana Kwame Nkrumah left for us, all because of greediness,” he bemoaned on Cape Coast’s Property FM.
The veteran Hiplife artiste said since the citizenry blames the government for the deteriorating water bodies, citizens and individuals deserve the same.
“Sometimes inasmuch as we keep blaming the government, we need to also blame ourselves because we’ll be complaining about galamsey destroying our water bodies”. He stated.
Skrewfaze stated that the same people demonstrating and holding placards against galamsey will still vote for those they are complaining about.
He fumed “Most of the people are demonstrating and holding placards saying stop galamsey now, it’ll shock you they’ll go and vote for the same people they are complaining about”.
