Veteran Gospel Musician Abena Serwaa Ophelia shared her deep emotions regarding the tragic accident involving the son of Archbishop Salifu Amoako, which resulted in the deaths of two young girls.

In an interview with Kingdom FM monitored by MyNewsGH.com, the musician expressed how the news had personally affected her, leading to sleepless nights and constant worry.

“Archbishop Salifu Amoako was the one who made our ministry stronger and bigger,” she said, acknowledging the influence the Archbishop had on her career. She revealed that the accident left her in shock, stating, “I broke down. I couldn’t sleep for three days; I had a headache. I kept wondering, if it were me in that position, what would I do?”

Ophelia went on to sympathize with the parents, expressing the immense pain and difficulty they must be facing due to their son’s actions. She noted, “The boy has brought problems to his parents. People will question why he couldn’t train his children properly, all because of a stubborn son who chose not to listen.”

Reflecting on the circumstances surrounding the accident, she added that the parents likely did not know about their son’s dangerous driving behaviour. “Even during the incident, I’m sure they didn’t know he had taken the keys to move the car,” she said.

While recognizing the severity of the situation, Ophelia acknowledged that leaving the matter to God is often the only solace in such painful events. She also empathized with the mental state of the young man involved, saying, “I can’t fathom what is going on in his mind.”

In closing, she called for divine intervention, praying that God watches over the parents of the victims during this time of immense grief.

This incident has drawn significant attention, with the media closely following both the legal proceedings and the emotional toll on the families involved.
