Board Chairman for Nsoatremen FC, Ignatius Baffour Awuah has dispelled reports suggesting that the the club resisted Maxwell Konadu’s move to South Africa.
Maxwell Konadu who coached Nsotreman to an FA Cup glory was expected to lead his team to the Confederations Cup next season.
However, he resigned from the club to pursue International glory with Black Leopards in South Africa.
There were reports that Nsoatreman FC resisted his move from the club and made some huge monetary demands.
But addressing the press, Ignatius Baffour Awuah dispelled the said reports indicating the he had a discussion with him before the coach finally left.
“I want to set the records straight that we have no problems with Maxwell Konadu moving on. We are in life to do great things and if he has had an opportunity that will propel his career, why should we hold him back?
I rather gave him the task of looking for a coach for us so if we are unveiling a coach today, you should know that Maxwell played a significant role in the search. We are happy he has gone International and that is to our advantage as a club,” he said.
