The police have launched an investigation into a viral video showing a group of male students from Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) assaulting a female student.
The video, which has spread widely on social media, shows several boys attacking the girl in what appears to be a school setting.
The victim was also booed as she was made to circle the school compound. A male adult was also seen violently kicking and hitting her on the bare ground.
There were several comments on other social media platforms, tagging Ghana police to step in and arrest those involved in the assault.
On X (formerly Twitter) one user posted that, “The guy who kicked the lady must be arrested”.
The police in a Facebook post assured the public that “the perpetrators will be identified and arrested to face justice”.
