The University of Ghana has indicated that their faculty appointed into government reflects the University’s commitment to national and global impact through the development of skilled human resources.
To the University, these faculty who have earned appointments must ensure they contribute their quota to the country’s development.
Making this known in a post shared via social media, the school said “Congratulations to the distinguished faculty of the University, who have been appointed by President Mahama to lead key state institutions.
Your expertise and leadership reflect the University’s commitment to national and global impact through the development of skilled human resources. We wish you success as you contribute your quota to Ghana’s progress”.
Three lecturers from the University of Ghana have been appointed to various positions in the current administration.
Prof. Ransford Gyampo is heading the Ghana Shippers Authority, Prof. Kobby Mensah is heading the Ghana Tourism Development Company whiles Prof Nana Ama Brown heads the Environment Protection Authority.
