NDC’s allegations designed to scare Ghanaians and justify the violence they are plotting – Ahiagbah

Communications Director for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has indicated that the National Democratic Congress’ claims of violence during the election of 2024 are designed to scare Ghanaians and justify the violence they are plotting.

His argument stems from the video that went viral via social media of some youth belonging to the opposition NDC who vowed to foment violence during the 2024 elections.

To him, the NDC refused to condemn the video and its content and has since not provided the police the needed information to help arrest them.

He indicated that the NPP is not a violent political party but rather committed to peace.

Ahiagbah’s view shared via social media said “The NDC’s allegation of a grand NPP plot to rig or create mayhem is vain and lacks merit. Rather than mislead Ghanaians, the NDC should admit its campaign is not going well, and they know defeat is imminent for the NDC.

This is simply a design to scare Ghanaians and justify the violence they’re plotting themselves. See this video by the NDC Obuasi Youth’s promise of violence. The NPP is not a violent party. The NPP does not have revolutionary roots as the NDC. The NPP is committed to peace and will do its part to ensure free, fair, and peaceful elections on December 7th. Bawumia will win…. peacefully on 7 December Vote #1″.

In an address to the press, the NDC has alleged that the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has tasked the military to foment violence to help the NPP rig the 2024 elections.
