NDC requests a meeting with EC over discrepancies in the Voters Register

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has written to the Electoral Commission (EC) to request a meeting over the voter exhibition exercise.

The NDC, in its letter to the EC, indicated that they had discovered some discrepancies during the exhibition exercise.

The discrepancies emanate from the Provisional Voters Register (PRV) given to them by the Commission.

They are therefore asking the commission to make time to meet them to ensure that they work together towards free, fair and transparent elections.

“We bring you greetings from the NDC Party Headquarters, Accra and trust that this letter finds you well.

“We write to request an important emergency meeting with you and your team to discuss very serious discrepancies discovered during the ongoing 2024 voter exhibition exercise. The discrepancies emanate from analysis of the Provisional Voter Register (PVR) given to us by the Commission, and registers being exhibited at the centres.

“We anticipate a favourable and timely response as we work towards free, fair and transparent elections,” the statement said.

The Exhibition Exercise started on August 20 and will end on Tuesday August 27, 2024.
