My aim is to provide Ghanaian youth with sustainable jobs and skills – Basintale

Chief Executive of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Maleek Basintale, has assured the youth of Ghana of sustainable jobs.

According to him, he and his government will ensure that the youth are provided with the needed skills and training.

Through this, he believes that the Ghanaian youth will be able to create jobs that will also employ other people.

He made this known while addressing the media on his first day at work as the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employmnent Agency.

“Our aim is to create sustainable jobs for Ghanaians. Our aim is to create a skill that will transition the Ghanaian youth into creating their own jobs and employing other Ghanaians, and so it is a help me, I help you situation,” he said.

To him, people who are interested in making money for themselves will have to resign because he is not there for personal gains.

“I told them that anybody who thinks that coming here is to make money should resign but if you are ready to work and make Ghanaians proud then you are welcome on board. Let’s get to work,” he said.
