Worship pastor Will Johnson of Brighton, Michigan’s 242 Community Church was taken into custody after he acknowledged installing a covert camera in one of the building’s restrooms.
On Friday, September 13, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office received a call to 242 Community Church, 7526 Grand River Ave., Brighton, MI, reporting that a hidden camera had been found in a restroom.
After Will Johnson, the director of church worship, allegedly acknowledged the crime, deputies took him into custody.
The church claimed that as soon as it learned of Johnson’s offense, it immediately terminated his employment.
The hidden camera was found by a staff member in a unisex restroom in the backstage area of the church’s Brighton site, according to a notice that the church sent out.
