Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah has agreed to an out-of-court settlement in her case against actor Kwadw Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin.
This was disclosed to the High Court in Accra by her lawyers.
Accra-based Starr FM is reporting that in court today, July 31, 2024 when the case was called, Lawyers for the actress who is the plaintiff, Nii Apatu Plange, stated, “There has been some development.”
“We were supposed to start the trial today, (Wednesday, July 31). Unfortunately, some development has come up, and I pray that my client and I approach the bench,” Counsel submitted.
After they approached the bench, Justice Forson Agyapong Baah, the presiding judge, acknowledged before adjourning the case that the Plaintiff and her lawyers have agreed to settle the matter.
Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned to August 15, 2024, during the legal vacation, to finalize the settlement and have the agreed terms adopted by the court as a consent judgment.
It will be remembered that Lilwin in a video that went viral on social media used some unprintable words on the person of Martha Ankomah questioning her prominence in the movie industry, among others.
Martha Ankomah filed a suit claiming five million cedis for hurting her image and that of GTP; a brand which she represents.
