The Local Government Ministry has begun steps to assess petitions presented to it by Chiefs, traditional Authorities, MPs, and opinion leaders for the creation and elevation of some M/DAs.
A letter sighted by MyNewsGH.com and signed by the Chief Director for the Ministry said an Inter-Institutional Task Team has been constituted to undertake a field assessment of the petitions and make recommendations to the Minister.
This field verification exercise is taking place from September 15 to September 20, 2024.
The letter impressed all M/DAs affected to accord the team the needed support.
