Member of Parliament (MP) for Damongo and Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Samuel Abu Jinapor has denied meddling in Gonja chieftaincy affairs, particularly that of Damongo, stressing that he has no interest whatsoever in neither Gonja chieftaincy nor Damongo chieftaincy.
There have been reports of the Minister’s alleged involvement in unduly influencing chieftaincy affairs in Gonjaland. But in a press release dated July 18, 2024, Samuel Abu Jinapor categorically denied an interest whatsoever in the Gonja chieftaincy, underscoring the fact that as a royal himself, he is has reverence for the chieftaincy of Gonjaland and the Chiefs of the land.
He stressed that as Minister and MP, his main aim is to contribute to the development of his Constituency and Ghana, calling on the people of Gonjaland and Ghana to disregard allegations that he is interfering in the Gonja chieftaincy affairs.
