The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) has asked the Social Security and National Insurance Trust to halt sale of SSNIT Hotels to Rock City Hotel.
In a letter dated June 28, 2024, the NPRA called on SSNIT to halt all activities in relation to dealing with Rock City.
This is to allow for the Authority to engage all stakeholders and evaluate facts concerning the sale of the hotels.
It will be remembered that Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa at the beginning of his activism against the sale of four SSNIT hotels wrote to CHRAJ for the issues to be investigated.
After this, he led a demonstration to register home displeasure about the deal with the president through a petition.
Okuzeto Ablakwa’s activism did not end as he continued to expose other government officials and their relatives who wanted to buy stakes in the hotels.
