KAMA Group Boss would still be alive if he was treated preferentially like MacDan –  Subin MP

The Member of Parliament(MP) for Subin Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Eugene Boakye Antwi has asserted that the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the KAMA Group, Dr Michael Agyekum Addo would still be alive if he was treated preferentially and given a contract like MacDan and others enjoyed.

During an interview on Okay FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Hon Eugene Boakye Antwi disclosed that the KAMA Group Boss would still be alive if he was treated fairly as businessman like  McDan.

“Michael Agyekum Addo would still be alive if he was given one of these contracts the party distributed to their people. That man was a staunch NPP member. But you McDan have been given all these contracts which has benefited you and your family but you have the audacity to say government policies don’t help private sectors” Eugene Antwi fumed.

This comment from Eugene Boakye Antwi was in response to comments by the CEO of McDan Group, Dr Daniel McKorley, about the challenges Ghana’s private sector faces due to government policies.

Speaking at the recent Ghana CEO-Presidential Gala Dinner, he criticized these policies for their lack of support for local businesses, stating that they create an unfavourable environment for entrepreneurs striving to make a difference.

“I will be very blunt,” Dr McKorley stated “Government policies have really not helped the private sector. That is where we are sitting right now, and we have to be frank about it.”

He reflected on his own experiences, while explaining how difficult it is for Ghanaians to succeed in business under current conditions.
