Kadjebi NADMO Office still closed a week after being barricaded

The Kadjebi District Office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) is still under lock and key after it was barricaded by thugs believed to be of National Democratic Congress (NDC) stock on Monday, December 9, 2024.

When the Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited the Office on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 0836 hours, the doors to the Offices were closed with no staff present.

A Staff of the Directorate, who wanted to remain anonymous, told the GNA that they were warned by the thugs, allegedly led by Mr. Ahmed Muniru (AKA Orinzo), an NDC Stalwart not to tamper with the padlocks until they opened them by themselves.

The Officer lamented why Party foot soldiers were behaving as if Ghana belonged to them and called on the Party hierarchy to call the perpetrators to order.

When the GNA contacted Superintendent of Police (Supt.) Frank Nana Asomaning, the Kadjebi District Police Commander to find out actions they have taken, when the case was reported to them by Mr. Joseph Nana Oboako, the Kadjebi District Director of NADMO, he said no action has been taken and that after the NADMO Director reported the case, he failed to make a follow up.

The GNA on December 10, 2024, reported the barricading of Kadjebi NADMO Office by thugs believed to be NDC supporters.

The group Monday, December 9, 2024, attacked the Kadjebi District Assembly premises, wounding Mr. Andrew Young, the Kadjebi District Statistician during the melee.

The Kadjebi DCE’s Residency was also besieged on Saturday, December 7, 2024, night.
