The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has announced the appointment of Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 29, 2025. She succeeds Yofi Grant, who served in the role until December 30, 2024.
Dr. Brempong, a seasoned business leader with backgrounds in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and strategic partnerships, brings a wealth of experience to the role.
She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ghana, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the University College of London, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Despite her pharmaceutical background, Dr. Brempong has built a strong reputation as an entrepreneur and business strategist, founding and managing companies in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and commodity trading.
Before joining GIPC, she served as the Chief Executive Officer of Makhealth Pharmaceuticals Ltd and held key executive roles at Synergy Commodities Ltd. and D-Amphora Ltd.
