Regretfully, high school student Gavin Browning, who lives in New London, Iowa, has passed away.
The New London Community School District announced Browning’s passing in a statement on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Reports suggest that Browning passed away in an automobile accident in New London, while no official cause of death was declared.
The CSD declared that in order to assist their pupils in processing their loss, they will be providing them with counseling and mental health options.
The school, as well as nearby district schools and churches, will provide counselors to assist pupils in coping with their loss starting on Monday. The district’s crisis response team has been established.
Many of Browning’s acquaintances lamented the young man’s passing on social media.
“It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the tragic passing of one of our high school students, Gavin Browning. This loss is a heart-wrenching event for our entire community”, the statement, signed by Chad Wahls, Scott Kracht, Todd Palmatier, read.
