The Electoral Commission of Ghana will review the petition brought to their office by the National Democratic Congress after their Tuesday, September 17, 2024, demonstration.
A statement from their outfit indicated that the process of producing the final voters register is in its early stages but assured the general public that it will produce a credible and robust voters register.
Meanwhile, the EC indicated that its doors were opened to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for further discussions.
The NDC on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, embarked on a nationwide demonstration to drum home the need for a forensic audit of the Voters register.
The NDC believes some discrepancies must be rectified before the 2024 elections.
They have since contacted international bodies, ambassadors, and other stakeholders to make their issues with the register known.
