A man was taken into custody after it was alleged that he attempted to steal sports cards from a Target shop.
The culprit was identified by South Windsor police as Rocky Hill resident Daniel Pugliares, 35.
According to the police, on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., they were called to the Target store on Buckland Hills Drive.
The individual, subsequently identified as Pugliares, was observed by the store’s loss prevention staff concealing MLB and NFL trading cards in a reusable back inside a bag.
Pugliares was taken into custody on suspicion of making a fifth-degree criminal attempt to steal.
A $1,000 bond was imposed for him. On October 2, he was supposed to appear in Manchester Superior Court.
