Bono Region: Gideon Boako donates 2000 dual desk furniture units to support education

Gideon Boako, the spokesperson to Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia, and parliamentary candidate for Tano North, has made impactful contributions to his constituency.

He donated 2,000 pieces of dual desk furniture to the Tano North Municipal Ghana Education Directorate in Duayaw Nkwanta of the Ahafo Region to improve educational infrastructure.

Additionally, on behalf of the government, he distributed 3,101 bags of fertiliser, including 2,139 MPK and 962 Urea, along with 300 rice seeds, to local farmers, aiming to enhance agricultural productivity.

Boako drew on his personal experiences with limited educational resources to underscore his commitment to improving education.

“I did not have the opportunity of having quality education when I was young. At some point, I had to use my father’s dining table to go to school. Sometimes I used a local chair (Asesedwa), but today it’s different. We need to support younger people to obtain quality education,” he said.

He also highlighted the government’s ongoing support for farmers, mentioning the distribution of 2,000 oil palm seedlings and plans to provide more resources like weedicide.

“If all these farmers are able to put the inputs and resources to good use, we would reap the benefit. We will continue to support farmers to enhance and improve farming activities,” Boako added.

Furthermore, in collaboration with the Ghana Enterprises Agency, Boako provided apprenticeship, skills training, and equipment to 350 youths in the constituency to promote job creation.

This initiative, according to Boako, reflects the NPP’s commitment to empowering the youth and improving local conditions, reinforcing the call for continued support for the New Patriotic Party.
