The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will officially file his nomination to contest the 7 December presidential election at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission today (Monday, 9 September 2024).
Bawumia is expected to be accompanied by his running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP’s national chairman and general secretary, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and some few party leaders.
A statement issued by Justin Kodua Frimpong, the general secretary, in Accra on Sunday (8 September) said after filing his presidential nomination, the presidential candidate would address the party’s supporters and the public at the NPP national headquarters in Asylum Down.
“Members of the party and the public are invited to be part of this historic moment of possibility in Ghana’s next chapter,” the statement added.
