Agyapadee Document fabricated by opposition NDC to paint my gov’t black – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed worry over the spread of fake news in Ghana.

He says over the years, the current opposition has continued to soil his name with fabricated stories without proof.

The president cited instances where he had been accused through stories in the past that turned out to be untrue.

He pointed to the supposed Agyapadee document, which suggests that he and his government intend to annex the state.

To him, the accusations in the document are baseless and an agenda by the opposition going into the election.

Mr President was speaking at The Ghana Report Summit, themed “Dealing with Misinformation and Disinformation – Election 2024,” when he made this known.

“Today, in a few months to the 2024 elections, they are at it again. A fabricated document entitled Agyapadee is being peddled around by operatives of the opposition as evidence of a grand scheme by my party to annex the state and the assets of the state.

These experiences underscore the importance of deciphering truth from falsehood and the need for all of us to remain vigilant against misinformation and disinformation,” he said.
