After being attacked and insulted Lydia Alhassan was ungrateful to my friends and I – David Osei

Actor Prince David Osei says, regardless of his support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), he will never back Lydia Alhassan’s bid to go back to Parliament.

He would rather support his colleague John Dumelo of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), because at least John Dumelo gives the creative industry some form of representation.

Prince David Osei, who has disclosed that he will one day run for president, says his decision is not borne out of friendship with John Dumelo but because Lydia Alhassan was ungrateful to him and his friends, who suffered abuse and insults because they threw their weight behind her in 2020.

“That’s Ayawaso and that will happen. We will be there to campaign for John at Ayawaso. To be honest with you I don’t care about the candidate there. If John goes to Parliament right now he is one of us.

We stood on the platform to campaign for the woman and she was ungrateful. Even though I am a full-blooded NPP and I speak to power, I will support John. That’s a problem. Rally behind Dr Bawumia and other Parliamentary candidates but for me I’m not rallying behind that woman. John is one of us and I will love to see him in Parliament.

People reason differently. If somebody puts their career on the line for you… There wouldn’t have been insults if we didn’t go to Ayawaso with my friends. We were doing four more to do more until we went there…I’m pulling my weight behind my friend for Ayawaso,” he said.
