Black Stars coach, Otto Addo says he is hoping his players will be in shape for their 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Chad and Comoros.The four-time African champions will host Chad at the Baba Yara Stadium in March next year before their final Group I game against Comoros at the same venue.With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers coming up in September, the 45-year-old says they will use those games to prepare themselves for the qualifiers scheduled to return next year."My hope is we will develop in that time and we have to develop because it’s going to be very tough again. Black Stars coach, Otto Addo says he is hoping his players will be in shape for their 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Chad and Comoros.

The four-time African champions will host Chad at the Baba Yara Stadium in March next year before their final Group I game against Comoros at the same venue.

With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers coming up in September, the 45-year-old says they will use those games to prepare themselves for the qualifiers scheduled to return next year.

"My hope is we will develop in that time and we have to develop because it’s going to be very tough again. I think it’s going to be very, very close until the end of the qualifying groups," the former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach told FIFA Media.

"Comoros especially have shown how good they are in matches against us and against Mali, but they’ve also shown that they’re vulnerable, so I’m hoping that we can use the matches we have in September, October and November in the AFCON qualifying to connect and get even better because that is what we will need to beat those teams," he added.

Ghana, who are aiming to make the fifth appearance at the global showpiece in USA, Canada and Mexico sit 2nd in Group I with 9 points after four games.
