Referees selected for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season have signed Integrity Declaration Forms ahead of the start of the campaign.

The new Ghanaian top-flight league campaign is set to kick off this weekend with some mouth-watering fixtures.

According to a statement from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the signing of the Integrity Declaration Forms is to help ensure fairness for all referees in the new season.

“In a significant step towards ensuring the fairness of the upcoming Ghana Premier League (GPL) season, referees have signed Integrity Declaration Forms following their recent integrity training at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. This initiative comes as the GPL prepares to kick off this weekend,” the GFA statement said.

It continued, “The training, held at the Technical Center of the FA, focused on reinforcing the referees’ understanding of ethical standards and their critical role in maintaining the integrity of the competition.

“The Integrity Declaration Form serves as a formal commitment by referees to adhere to these standards and to report any unethical behavior or suspicious activities.”

The GFA further noted that the signing of the forms underscores the league’s commitment to a transparent and fair playing environment, ensuring that every match is officiated with impartiality and professionalism.
