The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has asserted that the upcoming elections present a clear choice between a nation-builder and a failed economist.
Speaking at a press conference, Gyamfi emphasized that the elections will be peaceful, but they signify a pivotal moment for Ghanaians to decide between H.E. John Dramani Mahama, who he described as a stabilizer of the economy, and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, whom he accused of collapsing it through excessive borrowing.
According to Gyamfi, the country stands at a crossroads and requires not violence but a critical reset to address its economic woes. He argued that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has failed Ghanaians and imposed significant hardships on the populace.
He urged voters to rally behind H.E. Mahama, highlighting his proven track record of economic management and his ability to restore stability. “This election is a choice between the nation-builder, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and the failed economist, Alhaji Bawumia,” Gyamfi declared.
Expounding further, he stated, “It is a choice between President Mahama, who left a solid economy with a stable credit rating of B-, sustainable public debt, and strong economic buffers, and the failed economist, Alhaji Bawumia, who has borrowed Ghana into bankruptcy and presided over the near-collapse of the economy.”
