Prior to gaining widespread recognition, Wily was Teila Tuli, a formidable rival in the sumo world.
Wily transitioned to acting and rose to fame as Kamekona Tupuola on the popular television series Hawaii Five-0.
Kamekona’s warmth and inventiveness drew fans to the show and helped establish her as a beloved regular.
Wily’s comic timing was also featured in the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He even appeared in Magnum, P.I. as an extra early on, a show he would later return to in a role tied to Kamekona.
