Let it be known by all and sundry that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is behind the ‘Agyapadeɛ’ book being brandished by their activists and assigns.
Which group of people in their right senses would capture in a document form how they are going to loot or plunder state assets and print them for the general public to read through its pages?
Not even dementia-laden people would tell the world, in the form of a book, about how they are going to steal from the state and have them in circulation as well.
The funny thing is that the contents of the book keep on changing by the day. They edit portions, add more information, and embellish them as well. The book belongs to the dustbin.
When it comes to writing false stories about people, the NDC has a checkered history. These people took Akufo-Addo to the cleaners with a series of stories about his supposed ill-health.
The NDC contracted Steve Mallory who used his Africa Watch magazine to publish false tales about some strange and serious medical conditions supposedly affecting Akufo-Addo.
In fact, those stories were being written by some people in the NDC, gave same to Africa Watch magazine for publication.
They used a non-existent doctor’s name as the source of the information about the so-called damning medical record of the man who would rise to become president.
They were all lies cooked up by the NDC at their headquarters just to send a signal out there that Akufo-Addo was not fit to become president since he wasn’t medically sound.
Ghanaians saw through their lies as they gave Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo the biggest victory in Ghana’s electoral history.
We all know that former president Mahama is not in the best of conditions health-wise, but it’d be irresponsible and the height of insensitivity to write about it with exaggerations.
If the tables were turned, the NDC would have gone to every length just to create the erroneous impression that our candidate was not strong enough to be president. We are different from the NDC.
Don’t get it twisted, these same people who lied about the health of Akufo-Addo when he was an opposition leader are the very people churning out lies in the form of this fictitious book titled ‘Agyapadeɛ’ when the man is exiting office.
They heralded his coming to power with lies about his health and they are bidding him goodbye with another set of lies contained in this book they are propagating. They won’t succeed this time.
