Renowned Ghanaian gospel artist Esther Smith has stated that despite spending over a decade away from Ghana, the country is still her home.
Speaking on Asaase’s Artsy on Saturday (27 July), Smith said, “Ghana is my home and there is no place like home. So Ghanaians are my everything.”
She added, “I love my Ghanaian people; I love my brothers and I love my fans. Sometimes you don’t need to pray so much to get God to answer your prayers, what you need is praise and worship. I can’t tell you enough what praise and worship has done for me.”
Smith’s return to the music scene after a long hiatus is not just a personal comeback but a rejuvenation of the spirit of gospel music in Ghana.
Live Concert, marked by heartfelt praise and worship, will take place in August this year in Kumasi (25 August) and Accra (30 August).
It promises to be a grand celebration of faith, music, and unity, with top gospel musicians joining Esther Smith on stage to support her.
On 25 August, Smith will be joined by a group of Ghana’s top gospel musicians, each bringing their own style and energy to the concert, including Joyce Blessing, Joe Bechem, Randy Agyemang, Morris Baby Face, Stella Precious, Adom Kiki, Oware Junior, and many more.
“I prayed and God gave us directions on what kind of artists to bring on the bill… ”
“Even with some of the artists who will perform, I have never spoken to them before. But God made it possible to get them.”
And on 30 August at Perez Dome, Esther Smith will be in Accra, for her final concert, “Esther Smith Live concert” in Accra.
