Medeama SC Board Chairman, Dr Tony Aubynn beleives they picked valuable lessons from their participation in the CAF Champions League.The Ghana Premier League side participated in the CAF elite competition during the 2023/24 season.Housed in Group D, Medeama failed to qualify having finished at the bottom of the group with just four points.Al Ahly finished as group winners while Young Africans and CR Belouizdad finished in second and third place respectively.Despite their early elimination, the former Ghana Football Executive member beleives the Yellow and Mauve made a mark and picked valuable lessons from their participation.“I think we made a mark, and the experience was very important to us," Dr Aubynn told Graphic Sports."I was in Egypt to watch our match against Al Ahly, and they were on their knees until a mistake by one of our players cost us"But it was an important learning experience for the team,” he added.With the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season set to kick off on September 6, Medeama SC will begin their campaign with a home game against T&A Park.
