Ussif Mustapha, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Yagaba-Kubori and Minister of Youth and Sports, has formally filed his nomination at the Electoral Commission (EC) office in Yagaba to contest the 2024 general parliamentary election.
Expressing confidence in his re-election, Mustapha predicted that he will secure 85% of the votes for both the NPP’s presidential candidate, Mahamudu Bawumia, and himself.
He attributed his optimism to his numerous achievements and contributions to the constituency.
Notably, he has contributed significantly to the development of sports infrastructure, grassroots programmes, and athlete support across disciplines, earning him the prestigious title of Best Sports Minister at the Africa Sports and Tourism Awards.
Furthermore, his dedication and leadership have brought unprecedented development to the constituents, including significant improvements in road infrastructure, electricity, water supply, schools, health facilities, and other vital projects.
With his proven track record, Mustapha is poised to retain his seat and continue delivering progress to the people of Yagaba-Kubori.
“We are filing and we are ready to battle for every single vote. We are going to work for every single vote and we are going to deliver 85% for Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and 85% for Honourable Mustapha Ussif, Insha Allah,” .
He added that “We are asking everybody to go back to your polling station and win your polling station… ”
