An eighteen-year-old who appeared on Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff’s BBC show Field of Dreams has died in a car accident in Preston.
Umar Mahmood was driving an Audi A3 Sport on Chain Caul Way at around 10.55 p.m. on Tuesday when it veered off the road and struck some trees, according to the BBC.
A sixteen-year-old boy named Adam Bodi also died in the crash. Mahmood and Bodi were both honored to have attended Penwortham Priory Academy in the past.
The school described Mahmood as “bright, studious, and well-loved,” adding that he “showed kindness and ambition in all that he did” and was “always considerate.”
Mahmood was selected by Preston’s BYDS Youth Club to play on the team.
